What Type Of Bulb Shall I Get For 15G

I;m setting up my sons 15g as a live rock 2 clown fish tank

what type of bulb shall I get bearing in mind the starter unit only caters for on bulb of about 18 inches long

I;m going the LFS tomorow and don;t have a clue what to get and trust your advice more than the staff at the LFS in the marine section

If you're keeping just fish, get a standard T8 tube from lamp specs, Aquarium specific light bulbs are a rip off, just get one with a Kelvin of about 8500-10000K

Not sure if I could keep a Sarcophytons once everything settled? is my tank too small and /or if I could have one what type bulb would I need cos I would be better getting that type from the off?

Personally, I believe the a standard T8 tube would be fine for leathers, the White looking light is for personal preference in most cases, although some corals do prefer the bluer spectrums as they come from deeper waters.

T8 marine white would be fine for a toadstool and mushies you wont be able to resist corals, so buy the correct tube from the start

no its just got the original bulb from when we bougt it as a basic tropical tank bout 5 yrs ago, only thing thats chancged is I added tin foil in lid to reflect some light

was just going to get one from LFS tomorrow, is there a big diffeence in price at shops ? looking at fleabay bout £7.49 for a 18 inch T8 does that sound bout right?

Usually more expensive in lfs, but for less than £10 its not worth fussing is it the reason I said about fleabay for the moonlights is you usually cant get them in your lfs
