What to say on the phone

Hey i was wondering what you would say on the phine to a local fish store if u are wanting to give them a fish for store credit. do u go hi i was wondering if u take fish for store credit. plz help as i need to get rid of fish. because i am redoing my tank.

is it just the one fish that you want to get rid of or a tank full?

if it was just the one then I would just say it was not compatible, and ask if they would take it. I have a really good lfs, that has taken back aggresive fish without question and given us credit notes to replace it when we are ready. they also looked after our rare and expensive angel catfish when we are having water problems. we offered rent but they didnt want anything for there trouble.

I realise that i am lucky and my lfs is one of those that cares about the welfare of the fish. I think the key is to find a good lfs and (it goes without saying) be nice!

if your fish will be tricky to sell, or they do not have room to take them at the moment ( you say you need it sorted pretty quick) then do you have a friend that could look after them for you?
