What to go in the tank

Well I need to get a plant or something for my betta. I was thinking of an ornament of something as i dont hav a light (not very good if i want plants) BUT would i need to put an airstone in if i was getting an ornament sine ther was no oxygen from a plant? I could get one of these ornaments that have the air going out of them?

ha? Your wording is very confussing.

But I believe you want to get an airstone for your betta to breath? If so, dont, they dont like surface agitation that much, and the breath directly from the air, just like us.

If you don't have much light or don't have light at all, I would consider picking up some java fern or java moss. I have java fern growing in my betta's 10 gallon and it is thriving without a light. It has light from my window occasionally and the light in my room stays on all day.

Get a silk plant. Betta's don't require that you oxygenate theri water..they breathe from the surface.
