It looks like my Otos have taken care of most of my algae in my tank. I've been putting in algae wafers at night but they just ignore them. What could i feed them? I read somewhere about how you can form algae on a rock and then put it in the tank. Has anyone done this? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Algae (from tank + wafers), zucchini, cucumber, peas...

I have never seen my otos eat, but each morning, the algae wafers are gone so I assume they are too shy to eat when I'm watching. :)

HTH

Veg is good, peel it and soften it by putting it in some boiling water.

Ifyou want to grow some algae for them, put some pebbles in a jar of tank water on a sunny windowsill. :)

I've seen my otos tear through algae wafers, with the help of my rams and cories, I've also seen them pick at shrimp pellets too. Do you have live plants, because the otos can pick at plants too :D
