hello i posted some pics of my betta fry cant remember how old they are but i want to know if there is anything i can feed them to make them grow faster and biger.

i would love to give them live foods but no where near me sells that stuff but ive been feeding them frozen brine shrimp but they dont seem to be growing on that

ill get some frozen blood worm on friday and see what they think about that lol
they wont touch daphnia lol fussy eaters lol

how small does the blood worms have to be because crushing the blood worms will take a while wont it.

I think clovers fry are a couple of months old

Crush the bloodworms while they're frozen, if you wait until they're defrosted they'll just smoosh.

Ahh, ok then Microworms are too small, hehe. But for future spawns then, live food will get them growing better :)

At that age I have my young on live blackworms, Hikari brand frozen brine shrimp & bloodworms and mosquito larvae (the mosquito larvae isn't Hikari brand). They also get live Brine Shrimp when my LFS has it (getting some today, woo hoo). The Hikari brand frozen food is the best available, free from parasites and has vitamins added, so a very good food.

ow yea when when was born they was fed MW and BBS but then as they got biggar they needed bigar foods lol

Yea, I ran into the same problem, wasn't sure what to use as an inbetween stage. I would love a grindleworm culture but haven't got one yet, or daphina even. So what I've found is the frozen brine shrimp are good because they break apart easily, so when I put some in the tank there are already lots of little bits for the smaller guys and then the bigger ones rip the whole BS apart easily. The live blackworms I cut up with my fingernail in the palm of my hand, yes it's gross but it doesn't bother me. The Juvi's LOVE them! I have found cutting up frozen bloodworms as being too messy and a pain, so I don't give them those until I feel they can eat them as is (which is shortly after they start getting the BS and blackworms, usually within a week, they grow that fast, hehe).
