Hello all,

I will be adding around 5-6 Skunk Cories to my tank in about 2 weeks. My tank is cycled (fishless) and I have fish in the tank right now, but was advised to wait 2 weeks before adding the Cories (Jan 4 will be the 2 week mark). But I am just wondering how to feed them. I know they will eat any food that has dropped to the bottom, however, with my Zebra Danio I am not really sure how much food will drop to the bottom (they are little piggies  ). So I was wondering how to supplement them if they aren't getting enough. I have some algae wafers that I got to supplement my mystery snail (will be changing him out for some Olive Nerite snails), should I use those or is there something else/better I should be using?

Some people grab some food in their fingers and put their hand down to the bottom of the tank; supposedly, the cories will eat off of there. However, I can't do because my two are little spazzfests (wanna get some more tomorrow YAY :D ), and the water in my 10-gallon is slightly acidic. ^^; I always get hives/skin irritations whenever I stick my hand in there. :/ But yeah; if you overfeed slightly every couple days they should get enough food. :D

anything quick sinking like catfish pellets etc or feed the corys at night when the lights are off to give it a chance to fall to the substrate if they arent getting enough. dont overfeed just to try to get some food to the bottom. overfeeding = bad news :good:

Thanks, I was only planning on getting something to supplement then if they aren't getting enough. I might get some of the siking pellets just to have on hand in case.

Thanks again.

I have found with my cories amongst other food they love tetra prima mini granules, they sink straight to be the bottom :good:
