What do you do when your plants get big and need a trim?? Do you trim it? If so do you cut the leaf at the root?? This is my first experience with live plants so bear with me!! :D

I trim it. One my red tiger lilly, I just break the stem and on the other potted oned I cut as fas down as I can.

Cutting the dying bits helps the healthy bits grow.

:)

I trim mine. Pretty much every week.

How I trim depends on the type of plant. What kind do you have?

With Amazon Sword Plants it is best to cut the root system in half on a large plant. make sure the cut is clean and down the middle with leaves on both cuts. This way you will end up with two plants!!

Bol I am not sure what kind of plants I have I will need to research it and let you know... All I could tell you is that the leaves are pretty think and robust... Long green leaves... I don't know if this helps you any?

It might still be a number of plants... Could you post any pictures??
Most plants though, you could either do what I said above or cut the stem a little below a leaf and plant that part (do it to more than one stem and plant them together -looks better)
