I bought 3 plecos last day. They where fine the first day, seconde day one of my pleco was upside down then he fixed him self right and the other 2 are fine. During feeding i drop them algea wafers they dont even touch it or get close to it. I guess one is dying from starvation. I put them 2 slices of cucumber in the tank and still none of them touched it. What is wrong with them could they be still shy. They are common plecos. Is it better to bring them in groups.? My tank is 27.5 gal tank. With 2 sharks 4 goldfish and 3 gouramis.

Thanks for your help and cooperation

Keep up with feeding but make sure you don't leave too mucdh food in there for too long.

Plecos often take time to settle and I'm sure they will eat sooner or later

3 Common plecs (Pterygoplichthys pardalis )in a 27 Gallon tank? I'm afraid that tank isn't suitable for even one. Shared wtih 2 sharks 4 goldfish and 3 gouramis? Is your tank heated? It sounds like you have an odd mix of fish there.
Starvation is unlikely so soon. It's more likely acclimatisation I'm afraid.

I have a commone pleco now who is now 9 inches. Common pleco's can grow to as big as 18 inches! They usually like to eat lettuce, cabbage, algae wafers, spirulina wafers, and left over tropical fish food, and spinach. Putting your pleco's in a bigger tank will help them with being much more active! Also do you have very good filtration? Common Pleco's are also a tropical fish and need tropical fish temperatures to thirve well!

Just lost a pleco. But 10x god they are eating the cucumber that i added in the tank.

first if they are common plecs a single adult requires at least a 4ft tank, what sharks are they? what gouramis? and the golldfish will require at least a 50 gallon for the 4 of them.

Your tank is too small/unsuitable for them either way, but for now can you test the water for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates? Do the pleco's look underweight at all and how long have you had them in the tank for?

you should try and rehome them common plecs as soon as posible and you should look at getting a plec that is suitable for you tank size
