Eeeeeekkkk!! I just gravel vacuumed my 10 gallon tank, and as usual, before I pour out the removed water, I check to make sure there isn't anything unusual or exciting in it. However, today there WAS something in it. I've got 20+ Zebra Danio fry in there. They aren't even free swimming yet, so there's probably more hatching as we speak. I don't have a clue what to do! I've got 15-20 of these guys (couple months old) in a net breeder, plus 3 new platy babies. The problem is, I don't have any place to put them when they get bigger! This hasn't been a problem yet since they're still very small and grow slowly. Most of the pet stores around here won't take fish though. :S I was feeling ok with what I already had, but 20 more?! Ahhhh!! What would you guys do with them? They're still currently in the bucket, but they can't stay in there forever. Goodness sakes my fish must be happy to spawn this often. Maybe I'll give them a stern "sex-ed" talking to! No really, I'm a little overwhelmed. HEeeelp! :p

Aw babies? congrats!! :D May be u can use a tank divider to seperate frys from the adults for now?

I actually do have a tank divider - the net breeder is on the other side of it. This is because the first time I put my danio fry in the net, the adults sucked them right through it! Anyways, they're so tiny that they can fit through the holes in the divider too, so they have to stay in the net for quite awhile until they get fat.

Also - I recounted, now I have over 30. I can't bring myself to dispose of them in any way, but ahhh... there's so many!! *pulls out her hair*

U have 4 options

1. Free live food :S

2. try and find a pet shop to take them

3. Advertise them in ur local paper, or

4. Get a new tank

I know how you feel, 1st time is great, 2nd time still great, but from the 3rd and onwards it can get to be a bit much. I had that problem with my julie cichlids and in the end I sold the parents and most of the fry (2 left in my cichlid tank - now adults) and I still have a problem with my sailfin mollies in the community tank. I now supply my lfs with white sailfin mollies :) nearly every month. The only problem is that the lfs wants them at 1" but with so many females I have a new brood weekly and they're all at different sizes
