What the hell is this:

I downloaded a marine wallpaper app on my iPhone, browsing through looking at lovely clowns, bannerfish and then this turns up!!! It looks like a naked mole rat with gills!!!

What is it??

Its an Axolotl sp? although i thought they were freshwater

It is an axolotl. A type of salamander which naturally never morphs from larvae to adult.

Obv if your thinking about getting one, research first

They`re cute looking little things but do have specific requirements apparently. They grow pretty big and shouldn`t be kept in a tank with other fish.
As lilfishie says, research well before even thinking about keeping one

Not really interested in getting one myself but can't believe how weird it is!! I have never seen anything like it!!!

They have them in my LFS and they're just creepy, imagine dozing off on the sofa and waking to see that thing staring at you. It's just not right someone needs a stern word with them about evolution, either lose the legs or get out of the water you freaks.
