I finally decided today was the day to switch out my 10g to my 15g, which now has 19 female guppies and one female fiddler crab. I wasn't even going to use this lava rock, but I needed it to get a platform for my crab. I put it in the tank and found THIS!!

It was stretching and moving up toward the surface, but it stopped when it got to the top. It's 1-2 cm. It makes me think of a snail without a shell, that's how it moves. What is it?????

This is from the top. I think.

Er, lol looks like some sort of slug, is it aquatic? Did the lava rock come from the 10g?

Type of flatworm? Probably not something you want in there. Did you take it out? Planaria look like that but I'm not sure if they can get that big? Chances are they are more of them! If you find out what this is and this ends up being some kind of infestation, there are meds that you can use that are safe for shrimp and snails and will kill flatworms. API general cure is one of them. If it's a planaria, you can also use a product called "No Planaria". It's betel nut extract. Good luck with your creepy little friend...

Not a slug because it doesn't have any antennae. Don't think it's a flatworm (because it's not flat) or planaria (doesn't have the "eyes" and it's too big). And yes, it's still in there. And yes, the lava rock came from the 10g, but I sure as heck never saw this thing on it!

It's now sitting on top of the rock with it's, er, head sticking out of the water. Gah.
