thank you i am trying to find out which species, so i can research his needs and i like know what species of fish are in my tank. i rescued him from a friend and all they knew was he was a pleco.

thank you, not much info on him on the internet. i have never kept a pleco before.

he currently housed in 200litre tank.
his tank mates are
2 x gold goruami
2 x keyhole cichlids
1 x angelfish
5 x rosy barb
3 x sword tail (2 female, 1 male)
2 x platy

he currently hiding under my piece of bogwood, light off till 8pm then on till 10.30 pm i have no live plants, just plastic ones.

food i have got tetra pleco multi wafer (its a new two in one product)

my other fish are feed a mix of flake, sinking pellet and blood worms. and rarely peas (mainly when i remember to give them some)

will he be ok on his own or does he need a group of his own kind. and is my current set up ok for him or her.

it should be fine the tanks maybe a little small but not massively small here a link to some good info

i plan to upgrade my tank in the next two years to either 6ft x 3ft x 2 ft, or 6ft x 2ft x 2ft, but got to save the money first. and is it worth paying the extra £100 for the 6x3x2. coz it only an extra foot in height.

i wouldnt bother you wont be able to reach the bottom better off gettin it an extra foot long rather than deep !

i am 6ft 3 inch . my arm measure 2ft from arm pit to palm. with gravel cleaner hossy thing i could reach the bottom. so theoretically if i could reach the bottom would it be worth spending the extra 100.

not really i would go for extra length rather than depth but its personal preference at the end of the day !

sadly 7ft won't fit in the car. otherwise i would get an 8ft.

just look at the prices, those are really high to what i have been quoted for the tank i want

6ft x 2ft x 2ft is £250 and i great at making furniture so cabinet will just cost me the price of the materials.
