What Snail Am I

HI , just returned from a small shopping trip , picked up a baby plec (B.N.) , was asking the guy if they sell Sulawesi Elephant Snails , he told me they had a couple of "Rabbit Snails" in a tank, said I could have them for free if I wanted cos they bred in there , I thought they were MTS and took them anyway, they don't look like the MTS I have in the tank at the moment , they are darker with grooves down them , these other guys have 3 smaller sections and 1 larger section at the front they look yellowish and brown alernating on each section, they are in the bag just now , they have 2 antenna(?) and what seems like one big club foot which they are jerking and pulling themseves up on, the MTS I have seem to move smoothly like my Apple Snails , any ideas ?
Any correrspondance greatly appreciated.....

Most definitely sounds like Sulawesi snails. One of my LFS label them as rabbit snails as well. If you look closely at the head of the snail, they should seem to have a trunk like nose/mouth. With all of my snails, I can pick them up underwater and after about five to ten seconds they will come out of their shell and grasp onto my hand. You can then take a closer look at the head with your hand out of the water. My yellow/brown snails eat all my live plants by the way.

Sweet, 3 for the massive price of zero , they are yellowish brown with darker brown definatly different from the MTS I have, fatter cone shape and the MTS have indents or grooves going down each section, they are just dragging themselves across the sand , cool , never thought I'd have a snail fetish , weirdo ,,,,,, hopefully get USB for digicam at some point and I'll post you up some pics and you could ID for sure
