I have recently brought a Gibbiceps, it's currently around 2-2.5 inches long. I know they're pretty fast growing. It's in a 180l tank at the moment. Just wondered what size tank it would eventually need? I have the Fluval Vicenza and am thinking of getting the 260 eventually. Would this be big enough or would i need 300l+? Thanks.

Having kept them before, I would say a 5*2*2 ft is minimum, but would keep one again only if I had a 6+*2*2 ft.

Thanks for the replies. It's quite nice to have something that you can actually see in the daytime! He is quite active. I have a spotted raphael and striped raphael and NEVER see them. Only time i see them is if i am re-arranging the tank and they have nowhere to hide. Have a couple of BN's in another tank which are more active also.

Here's my Gibbiceps

And my big female BN (Ignore the gravel, it's changed now! lol!!)

Totally agree here. I had mine in a 5 x 2 x 2, and at 12inches he was too big imo so I rehomed him. If I ever get one again it will be in a much larger tank.
