What Size Heater?

What size wattage will I need to heat a tank with 200 Litres volume?

A rough guide is 1W per litre, so a 200W heater should do the job fine, either that or go for a 250W

A fairly accepted guide is as Andy said, about 1 watt per litre for reasonable room temperatures and tank temperatures. If you have a very cold home and need very warm water, it will obviously take more heat to maintain the temperature. If you place some styrofoam, even thin sheets will help, around the back and sides, the tank will be fine with a smaller heater.
