Hey I curently have a 20g with a 3"Tiger Oscar, 3"Red Scat, and a 8" Pleco. I am moving them to a
60g tank and want a oddball type fish. I would like some kind of eel, bichir, or knife fish.
ANY SUGGESTIONS. Thanks

scats are brackish/marine fish and wont do well in freshwater.
smaller spiney eels will be fine in a 60g like peacock and half banded and and smaller bichir like delhezi and senegal.
a oscar needs more room and so do knife fish :good:

My Scat has been doing fine in my tank and I add two table spoons of aquarium salt every water change and he
is happy with that. Well the 60g is the biggest tank I've got so I guess I'll have to use it, unless you've got an idea.
I've narowed it down to Bichir or Spiny Eel. What should it be.

i would not add any more fish
oscars alone need a bare minimum of 55gallons to its self<trust me they grow quick>
knifefish get fricking huge
and whats your filteration like cos a oscar and a plec r messy...iam forever cleaning and doing 100 litre water changes every other day now

No more fish and more research is what it should be.

what kind of pleco? wont a at least 8" pleco be too big for a 60 gallon. i would get rid of the oscar and mayb ethe pleco depending what kind it is. then its up to you on the bichir and eel. only pic one though. so you would have the scat, maybe pleco, bichir/eel. that would be good i think, but maybe one more scat. not a big oddball guy so i dont know much but thats what i think.

this setup is so wrong it silly.

Get rid of the Oscar they grow too big, and I wouldnt put one in less than 100gallon tank.

As for scats they are fine in FW as juvies but when they get older they need brackish water, and your other fish wont be able to live in that type of water, so get rid of the scat to.

Now to the help you'll like:

What Plec do you have as this will help us help you, and in 60gal you could house two P. senegalus, along with a plec and maybe some larger dither fish.
