I think I'm ready to try and make my own signature, and I'd like it made with the pictures of my bettas like several people here have. What program do you guys use? And can a novice computer person do it herself?

I use Adobe Photoshop to modify all my pics, whether for online use or printing/presentations... it is pretty straight-forward but rather expensive software.

Photoshop is the standard for photo editing, it can be quite tricky and difficult for new users who have no experience. there is a lesser program called Paint shop pro which is decent also.

If you can't get the program and need help, let me know, or I can make one for you, also (my diploma says I'm a graphic designer ) feel free to PM me or something :)

Paint Shop Pro, Not that Hard Either Onceyou get the Image Sizes Sorted and Transparency

Adobe Photoshop Elements... the cheaper, simpler version of Photoshop. Works very well for people such as myself who just enjoy playing with pictures and making cool little works of art. :p

You can probably do a simple one in Microsoft Paint.

You would need to copy and paste the photos you wanted all into one picture and can then use the text button to add and words you wanted. I can tell you in more detail what you would need to do if you want?

When you save it you will need to choose JPEG from the file type box or the file will be huge.

Edit: I've just made myself a simple new sig in Paint just to show what is possible.
Edit 2: And i just noticed this thread is from 2005! I guess i shouldn't be positing at 1:30 in the morning.

MS Paint :p

edit: Dam I fell for it too Shrimper! Oh well...

While this is old, in case this is picked up by people who want to do this I shall add the below

Before splashing out for photoshop, check out GIMP. It is a free program that does a lot of the basics that photoshop does. It's not so good for the top end stuff, and is not great for sending info to printers, but for people just changing images for sigs and the like it is more than adequate.

Agreed, unless you get some version of Photoshop free with your hardware stick to GIMP.
