What plec to go with a common?

When moving my community into the new 55G I was planning on getting another plec. Our common (about 14cm now) will be moved in there untill he'll be too big and will get moved to our 75G, but I wanted to get another plec to go in the 55. Our Lfs only has a very limited selection of L-numbers, and the ones they do have are labeled wrong. I know they have mango plecs and royals (out of royals right now, but he would order them in if I asked), would either of those be able to go in without getting harrassed by our common? If not, what type of plec would be adviced to go in with a common

We are also using the 50g as a grow out tank for the brisltenoses
there are also...
4x 3" bristles
6x 0.5" bristles

They are all getting on fine (there are a loy of hiding places).

P.s. No flaming as they are all small, the tank is VERY heavily filtered and will be getting new homes once we've move
