What Plec Is This Please

does anybody know what plec this is i just bought a tank and this is in it so im just curious and also my tank is 30"x15"x12" does anybody know how many litres that works out as thanks matt

He's a common pleco, will grow 12-18 inches (I think 12" is a reasonable guestimate though).

Tank size (only in inches) 30 x 15 x 12 / 231 = 23 gallons.

Tank is way too small for him to stay in long term, common plecos need 4ft+ tanks

About 87 litres is the tank volume.

Above ID and advice is correct, it needs rehoming sooner rather than later

thanks for the response i thought it was too big like i said i got the tank of somebody else and im just making sure its okay do you have any advice of how to swap out gravel for sand with the fish in the tank? thanks

since you need to rehome him, why not move him first before you change to sand?

i will move him out first but there are a couple more fish in the tank aswell

have you got a large bucket, say 10L?

Keep them in there with the tank water & filter & heater. They will be fine for a couple of hours whilst you make the change.
