well it's not very easy to tell but I'm not convinced that big one in the middle is aquatic... it looks like it's got varigated leaves? Aquatic plants don't have varigated leaves...

Hi Sarah, how many shrimp have you got ,and what kind? :fish:
well its a bit odd because i bought ten cherry shrimp from the store, popped them in the tank and they all hid. as they emerged it appears i have three cherry shrimp (they are getting so big) and four see through ones (poss glass shrimp?) the cherrys just sit in that sword plant, getting fat and lolling around. the glass shrimp are much more active swimming around and looking into everything.

the amazon sword plant? very common tank plant i believe

Since you have shrimp, I would highly recommend getting some type of moss, like java or weeping. Most fish will like to spawn in moss. A nice easy ground cover is pygmy chain sword. Very easy to grow and looks nice when it starts sending out runners.

must just be the light in the picture then. It looks like some of the leaves are varigated. A bigger picture would probably be better ;)

vallis or some kind of stem plant. When there are just a few of them they can look a bit odd, but once they become thicker the fish will love them. Mine love my vallis and hygro, and the shrimp do too.

pygmy chain sword could be good too, once it's reproduced a bit: again - the thicker it is the more the fish/shrimp will like it.

it looks to me as you have Amazon Swords (large leaved plants), An aponogeton (variegated leaf), a crinum, some valis and some egeria. I would remove them from the pots though as this will give the roots space to evolve.

and heres a website

thanks so much! ive just moved them all into the corner so its thicker and will be taking a trip to the shop to fill the rest of the back. ive spread the wood so the corys have more places to hide although things must be ok as they are breeding and one baby is quite big now (about an inch) im so new to this and fish tanks and plants were a gift so enjoying a bit of re organising
