What Plants For American Cichlids

hi all
i want to now wich plants are suitible for my 2 4ft tanks one of which has firemouths and the other has green terrors
they have both got gravel substrate plenty rocks and driftwood. any sugestions would be great.

firemouths and green terrors will rip plants apart. you could try anubias but they would be uprooted
 
These are the plants I have in SA tanks, with Sev's and firemouths, now if the Sev's dont eat these or rip them up, you might get away with it, although it comes down to the individual cichlids taste or enjoyment of destruction :lol:

Java Fern, Java Moss (they like to rip up the moss and spit it around the tank), Vallis, hygrophilia polysperma, cabomba, anubias and hygrophilia difformis. Those are just what Ive found to work, you could give them a go.
