We have a:
10 gal tank, filter, heater, gravel, 2 fake plants, 1 live one, 1 rock/coral formation

1 red platy
2 tetras, 1 long finned, 1 bleeding heart
1 common plec (yes, we know he will become too big for our tank, we hope to get a 20 gal sometime soon and will try to give him to someone else with a larger tank, he is only 2 inches right now)
18 red platy fry (no this was not planned, happened the day after we got the platy, eek!)

What other fish would you recommend for the tank, seeing as how all of the fry probably won't make it, or will be moved to a smaller tank until they get adult sized? TIA for any help!

i have a few tetras
there good
but
my red eye tetras are the best they can live through anything1 (who knows that can just be mine though)

did u know that you can selly fish back to petco

i would recomend some zebra dainos but be careful they are peaceful fish but you should buy 8 expecting 2-3 to die

dont mind my spelling

uhh, no. no way should 1/3 of the zebra danios die when added to a tank, they're very hardy fish. also they need more swimming space than a ten gallon tank.

I recommend you get rid of that pleco ASAP and get 2-3 otocinclus.. they are tiny plecs which eat algae, the biggest they ever reach is 2". also get some more tetras cos they need to be in shoals.

zebra dainos

hardy?

they ar hardy but be care ful with most like ly if on dies the others will die

I agrea with CD, Danios are very hardy fish, nearly inposable to catch and kill, (beleave me I know I've tryed.)

danio's are also very zippy and nippy, can also upset peaceful nervous fish.

to add on the tetras, please get some more tetra should be in groups of 4 or more of there own kind. I've tryd mixed tetra shole's and they have'tn worked at all.

I'd also get rid of the pl*co and try for some Otto's, though some find them hard to keep alive as there normaly not fed anouth at the LFS.

If you could get a smal, like a 6g tank for the fry that would be great, run is with a sponge filter of an air pump is best. Your female will proberly have some more fry in the future.

Please don't talk nonsense, it just confuses the issue. :)
