Hello! After waiting patiently for over 3 months I finally added some fishies!! I currently have 4 female bettas which have been living happily in there new home for over 2 weeks now! I'm really liking the idea of real plants and as my tank is positioned close To a window I'm placing some plants to block the light and prevent to much algae growth! However I really liked the idea to put moss on the right side of my tank which receives little light! I know Java moss is quite an easy grower but doesn't like the warmer waters which my girls thrive!! Any ideas over added pics to give an idea!

Top pic day time with the lights on! Lights are basic outdoor fairy lights which I placed in the protective light cover as Hood transformer was unable to be fixed!

Bottom pic lights off! Wanted to grow moss over the White ornament! Also depending on the weather in can receive brighter light or barely any!

Try christmas moss; it's pretty undemanding; I have some growing in an unheated, unlit, unfiltered goldfish bowl, and it's doing fine

i agree xmas moss or even basic java moss, both i have successfully grown in my tanks and under sunlight, but weeping moss i seem to struggle on :S

Thanks for the replies! I was thinking Christmas moss but thought it preferred a cooler temp. I may have to try it! Was thinking mini pellia moss can't remember the more common name it's reffered to!

Round pellia (or subwrassertang); that does well if it's happy, well worth a try, I would say

Subwrassertang that was the one! Liked the fact it doesn't grow to tall slow grower though apparently!!
