What Luck...

i bought 3 albino cories today. 2 of them are a little over 1", and one of them is tiny (a little over 0.5"). i looked all over the tank and there was only 1 cory that was that tiny, and the guy happened to net it at the first go. just my luck...

ps i know i should've checked what fish i got before he bagged them, but all the fish looked healthy and approximately the same size.

has anyone had similar bad luck experiences at the lfs?
 
I once asked for some fish for my community tank (5 neons for a fiver), and was surprised to find upon getting home that the lad had bagged 5 full size Chilli red Arowana's by mistake...

lol just recently i found 5 really colorful and healthy cichlids. i was going to buy them but no service was around. then this rich guy comes in and just buys like evry cichlid there was. i went there for nothing which is way out of the way from my house. just my luck! :(

Call me crazy but why is that bad luck? i just bought three regular corys, two which were about an inch and one that was really small like yours and i think he is the cutest one of them all. Were you just hoping for larger corys? Im a newbie so maybe i dont get it but i think the small corys look cute as hell! :blush:

i'm worried about the smallest cory because he might be the runt of the batch, implying a really slow growth rate. he might even be stunted, but most likely not.
 
Or more likely it is from a more recent spawning and just not as old as the rest. Sometimes that happens though they usually seem to keep the batches seperated in my experience.

well, even if he is stunted at least he/she is still cute right? :good:
