I got a new triton light i have the following tubes now Triton, Sunglo, aquaglo, and marine actinic which tube works better with the triton! anyone!
The actinic is for the catfish at nite s o there be 2 spare places...

I'm cheap!!!!!

With over 40 fixtures to buy bulbs for (most of which are double light fixtures) I go for the most for my $$$

I buy Phillips 25 watt tubes by the case!! Works out to about 0.96 each!!

Now I realize that these are not going to give the tanks the best "appearance" but they do the job fine.

Just ask Semper!!!

With a trition I would use a whitle light, Like Arcadia freshwater or equivalent.

if you use Arcadia freshwater combine iwth Arcadia original for a good effect aesthetically and for plant growth.

Aesthetics are subjective though.

I combine T5s with T8s (+ reflectors) because by Aquariums are deeper than average and need more powerful lighting for plants.

Just started trying a combo of 1 Aqua Glo and one Flora Glo. The tank has turned pink! Not sure it's going to last long like that!

I initially didn't like the pinkness of Aqua Glo, but since I have the other tank right next to each other, it gives an interesting contrast. I use Actinic + white on the other tank, so one tank is almost pink, the other tank is near blue. VERY interesting to look at! (I thought it wouldn't last more than few days, but I am going to keep it like that now...)
