what kinds of betta are there?

I dunno if someones already made a thread of this,can someone please send a link if they have.What kinds of betta are there.Ive got a weird looking betta not like the other normally looking ones you find in pet shops.Its tails spikey looking and its more like the same colours as a female.Its also got bright bue spots on his top fin.anyone got any info?
