You missed the Brown, Dragon and Arrowhead Puffers :p

Oh, and the Sea Frog and Cutcutia are the same species. And the Takifugu species are marine.

Not trying to be a smartass. Really. ;) pufferfish.co.uk is a little questionable in some of it's species portraits..

Apart from the Takifugu that I mentioned in my previous post, yes they are all FW species (plus the extra ones I mentioned).

Are you thinking of getting one? If so, what sort of personality/temperament are you looking for and how will you house it? Puffer species are very different from one another and that list will get narrowed down very quickly depending on your requirements.

well i have a 10 gallon and i dont wanna go through the hassle of gettin a brackish tank tahts y i did this thread. im actually lookin for maybe 1 or 2 puffers that r fairly active and r nice to look at. they will have the ten by themselves, well i might put a small bristlenose in there but im not sure yet.

Sounds like a couple (or perhaps 3) dwarf puffers would be mighty happy in that setup. Very active and characterful yet a great beginner puffer.

Our four are such cuties. The way they roam around the tank looking for mischief provides hours of amusement. And then you see the way they suck up bloodworm like spaghetti is hilarious! :D

Dwarfs are very underrated puffers and I think you would thoroughly enjoying keeping some.

NoTtrying to eh?

Nah, thanks for adding those, and I did think that the takifugu was...oh well, none of the puffer sites seem particularly good!

Hey, great inspiration from me! LadyM, SirM, why don't you make a decent site?

To be honest, the idea had occurred to me. I would be happy to talk about species I'm familiar with but I don't really think I'm knowledgeable enough to write about the species I've not had experience with.

The trouble with most of the current puffer sites out there is that while the data may have been accurate at the time of publishing, they don't seem to get updated. Plus half of them don't agree with what the other half have written so you're never sure which to believe.

Maybe I'll consider it again. Dunno. But thanks for the vote of confidence. :D

Go staight to the point GET SAP's
Why are you so insistent on SAs? Help Cody make up his own mind by offering useful information, not just "get one of these!". And you still haven't answered my previous question.

Part of your thing here is you want multiple puffers in a 10 Gallon tank..

I think LadyM is right in that you need to be looking into Dwarf Puffers as your best option. If you had a 30 Gallon or larger you could look at something such as the Spotted Congo Puffer, and I am sure there are others that you could do two of in a 30 or larger.
