I posted this on the betta/gourami section and here's the pic.... I thought it was a CT but the guy in the petstore told me it was a French tail???? :blink: It looks almost like a CT except for it's tail....

im no expert but down here is AUS we call them Comb tails

it's a crown-tail, i've never heard of anyone using the term "french-tail" before.
 
So it's a crowntail... Cool I got a CT for a price of the common betta..... :D

Looks like a double ray crown though. Good find, he's really pretty! :thumbs:

actually Julie, if you go back to the first and second, ne some of the parts that go out, you can count 5 crowns.

That's actually not how you count rays though. Otherwise all crowntails would be "double ray". If you can count 4 in one area (hard to describe), it's a double ray. :nod:
