Recently my pet scorpion died. He lived in a fairly large 35 gallon tank. Now that he is gone im going to fill it with fish. Perticularly i was looking for sharks.. maybe 2 that wouldnt grow bigger then 8". any recommendations on what type of sharks or should i stear clear of this idea all together? the other option is making a nice tropical tank with a bunch of different fish. i would really like the sharks more but if it cant happen it cant happen right? how much / what would say a baby nurse shark eat. Please help me out with whatever you can.. advice or just your .02 it is all appreciated. Thanks!

you can get a red tailed shark, these stay right under 5 inches i believe. but you can only have 1 because 2 will probably fight. and you may need to upgrade to a bigger tank as the shark gets bigger.

do you want real sharks(salt water) or tropical shark fishy. That was what i wanted before i got into building a tropical community tank, But the people in the LFS told me that i need some kind of a license to own sharks and told me to go to florida and catch one(rude bastards on my LFS)

Hello,
I'm a newbie too, and have much to learn. But I too love the sharks, so I got the read tailed Black sharks, I got 2 because nobody at my lfs told me otherwise. But thankfully they seem to get along ok. But they do some tank chasing at times for sure. But I think they are just beautiful!! Very cool to watch too. I was amazed at the color change once I got them home and calm. The Red (Orange) tail was brilliant!! They are 2 of my favorite ones. Good luck!
