How much lighting would i need to have for a 10 gallon to have some basic soft coral? Would regular fluoresent lights work, or should I have the 50/50 aticinic (if thats how you spell it) and the strong white light. how many watts would you reckon i need? also, would a filter rated for a 10 gallon (with carbon, bio-wheel) work? what kind of powerhead flow would you recommend?

thanx in advance.

ok, i just need to know what kind of lighting and how much of it. I'd like some basic soft corals, so......what kind of lighting do I need?

For basic soft corals, and a small tank like your 10 gallon, id go a twin T8 fixture. It depends on what kind of levle you want to go to really. In the twin fixture you can add one marine white, and one actinic. You wont need a hang on filter with filter media (unless you want to DIY/modify it to hold a mini refugium) because the mechanical filtration it provides will be done by your LR and a powerhead. IMO you want over 20x circulation, so a pump rated for 200lph.
