I will get my shrimp tomorrow, and i also ordered a tank. After red some chinese website of crystal red shrimps, i do not know what kind of substrute/gravel to set for the tank. Gernearlly those experts said some kindof substurtate for planted, because it contains a lot of substance beneficial for the shrimp. however i do not know the english name of them.

Anyone can suggest about the that?

:good:

I'm kinda new to shrimp, but I think plain old aquarium gravel will do just fine. I have sand in my shrimp tank and they do fine on that.

i know, but ppl said, that kind of substrate is benefit for the color of crystal red shrimp. which is, the white part will be very bright white, and red is really bloody red.

ADA soil ammazonia seems to be the favoured soil for crs, it adds acidity to the water which is good for crs. It’s not necessary though any sand or gravel will do as long as it does not harden the water.
