What kind of fish is this?

Can anyone tell me what kind of fish this is? When we bought it it was titled just "Plecostomus" is that what he is? Cuz he doesn't look like the pictures of plecos ive seen..

It's hard to tell in that photo, but I don't think it's any kind of pleco.

Definately not a plec.....A synodontis of some sort.

Definitely a Syno. I looked but couldn't find a definite match. It's 4am though so I'm probably just missing it.

Looks like a young fish. Shows some charactristics or Syno Robertsi. Although the markins look to uniform, this could be just as its a young specimen.

I think its the Syno Robertsi, because he hasnt grown much in a year. Still about 2.5 inches. I'm gonna post a better picture when i can get one though, his face looks a little different than any of the pictures I could find on google. Thanks for your help
