What kind of fish do I have?!?

I got a new gourami today, and have no idea what kind it is. He was in a tank that had dwarf gouramis, but this guy is white (except for a little yellow/green on the edge of his fins). He doesn't look like a moonlight (the skin isn't smooth like a moonlight) or kissing gourami. He has the basic body shape of a dwarf gourami. He's definately a gourami...but is a white dwarf possible?

I wouldn't say that.. but let's see if I can help.. To me it sounds like a female dwarf gourami. They are pretty much colorless, and you probably have a neon blue variety, so that gives the little bit of color on the fins. Is the end of the dorsal fin rounded? Here is a photo of my female dwarf, compare and let me know what you think!

It's a female dwarf gourami for sure. The size/shape of the dorsal/anal fins gives it away.

Awesome find! I never see female dwarf gouramis at the LFS. Are you going to try and spawn them?

That's exactly what I have! I had no idea. I've never seen female gouramis...why are they so hard to come by?

I feel so special ) And I found her at Wal-mart no less

I've seen her in the tank for a few weeks, and just couldn't stand seeing her stuck in the tank....If I did get a male, would they get terribly territorial? The current in my tank is also pretty strong, would the male be able to make a nest?
