What Kind Of Bulbs Should I Buy?

Hi Friends! I have two lights that need their bulbs replaced. They currently have the 15 Watt tube bulb. I have some Java ferns I recently planted that don't need a lot of light but in the future if I get plants that do, I'd like a strong enough light for them. My tank is 55 gallons. What sort of bulbs do you recommend? I've seen people with the LED lighting, where can I find that? Does that help the plants grow better? Also what is the difference in an aquarium between T5 and T8 lighting?
