What Kind Is This?

I don't have a photo, yet, as I haven't purchased it, but it's labeled just 'various fancy goldfish'. It is a dark gold color with flecks of shiny scales. Almost like little sequins on it. Do you know what kind this is? I am pretty sure it's Ryukin, as it's not an Oranda. I just don't know what the color/variety it would be.

Ryukins are some of the less commonly sold fancy goldfish, its more likely its a Veiltail but thats just my guess for now until you get pics .

I found one site that said it could be diamond-scale fantail. Anyone heard of these before? The fish I saw has random scales that are so sparkley... very pretty. It was kind of a gold/bronze color.

might be a calico fantial with some metallic scaling.

'Various fancy goldfish' usually means a fantail. Ryukins etc. aren't as common and are almost always labelled specifically (and priced higher!) A few sparkly scales sounds like it has a few metallic and a few nacreous (matt) scales.
