I just saw a 15 dollar test kit and this is what it tests dor:

• fresh and salt water pH
• Carbonate and general hardness
• Nitrite ammonia ***
• Carbon dioxide

*** what is nitrite ammonia? I know what NH4 and NO2 are, but what are they together? Or is this a typo?

That sounds similar to the Aquarium Pharmaceutical Master Test Kits but they only test for pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. The have seperate kits for SW and FW and you have to buy the tests for Gh and KH seperately. As for the nitrite ammonia, I think that is a typo or they lumped them together for some reason. There isn't one test that checks them both other than a strip.
