what is wrong with my plecos color?

my plecs do that when they are sleeping.

well ... he is breathing weird! maybe he is sleeping im not sure though!

as you know him better than us, what else is he doing thats unusual? what can you tell us about the tank and his tank mates. how big is he and whats he fed on.
have you done water tests lately and how often and how much in the way of water changes are you doing?

looks fine to me.

often when i walk into work there's all the big plecs we have in sitting up on the pectoral fins, often with fish hiding underneath them they tend to breath heavily a bit like this aswell.

as long as he's not like that all the time then i would confidently say there's nothing to worry about.
