One of my friends has a 10 gallon tank with gold fish, black moors, and some feeder fish. He has 3 main problems.

1. The moors won't swim normal, they swim facing toward the ground. Is this possibly swim bladder disease?

2. The goldies developed black spots on their heads, it has since passed on to some of his other fish. What could this disease be?

3. He fed some of the diseased fish to his oscar despite me informing him not to. Will it effect his oscar?

Any and all help would be appreciated, thank you!

he has too many fish in the tank. ten gallons isnt a good size for any goldfish. the headstanding will be due to high ammonia and nitrites and the black/brown spots will be from the ammonia burns and are a sign of healing skin. he needs to get the water tested as soon as he can and in the meantime 50% water changes each day. the fish need around 15 gallons for fancy types with 10 for each extra fish and goldfish need at least 20 gallons with 10 - 15 for each additional fish for them to remain healthy. filtration needs to be x10 as they are really messy fish.

100% aggreement with Black angel

1) yes it could be swim bladder, it could also be ammonia poisioning

2) black spot disease

3) very likely

Thank you guys, I will let Nate know. Also, I will try to get him to join up.
