Does it look more like a greyish colour then black, mucky grey.

Yea and it looks like its growing pretty fast too............ahhhhhhhh

hmmmmmm, not sure.
Its the blue colouring has gone, theres no fluffy bits.....

If it's a greyish patch on the fish which my sister goldfish had it's columnaris, and if its spreading fast, it sounds like the desease to me.

Is the fish heavy breathing and rubbing against things.

No, not heavy breathing, but now gone under some cover, so gotta be bad, insticntive to hide when ill!
Shall i chuck any meds in?
got melifex, anti finrot/fungus

I bet its from adding those cardinals yesturday!!!!!!! :/

I wondered if it was slime as that can be bacterial desease or parasite, you will need anti internal bacteria med for what the fish has, good luck, if you have no scaless fish add some salt as well one tablespoon to 5gal.

I've put some melafix in now. I dont have any internal bacteria, will have to pick some up. Or shall i stick to the melafix now?

Do a salt bath in a container so it's on it's own.

OK, thanks for all these tips, its deffinatley getting bigger.
Hes hiding in the corner, so prob wont be able to get him easily!!!! doh!!!
