A friend's betta has two "lines" on both sides of his face, same spot, same size. It isn't increasing length or width thus far, and it only recently appeared within the last week.

Fungus of some sort? Healthy appetite, not lethargic, and like I said it isn't getting worse.

You can also see a bit of white on his upper lip.

Kind of a lighter color, similar to the coloring on the bottom of his "beard" and part of the rest of him, as you can kind of tell in the first picture.

Maybe just being paranoid but you never can be too careful with these guys.

yup, distinguishing features of the beloved betta splendens. nothing to fear :lol:
