What is this?

I no i posted in fish emergencys but no one seems to be helping me there so mabye someone that is in this section could help me out, i found this thing while vacuaming my gravel, it looks liek half a peanut and im jsut wonderig if its harmful or if it needs to go back into the tnak, please help ASAP

EDIT: i currently have 2 danios 2 platies and a albino pleco

It's hard to tell from the photo what it is. Unless it's something you have put in the tank, I wouldn't put it back.

I cant tell what it is either.. sometimes there are odd things in the gravel ... I wouldn't put it back in the tank

It's not a tic is it? Yeuw! It would have some funny leggy things around the pointy bit if it is! although if it is a tic goodness knows how it got in your tank. You haven't been dipping the dog in it have you?!

if it was a tick, it'd be dead and drowned by now. (you don't really have to worry about getting ticks in your tank)

do you have siblings, roomates, or other non-fishy people living with you? people who may have decided to eat peanuts while watching your fish? because it really does look like someone dropped a peanut in there.

I think the real question is: do you have any roomates who are heavy drinkers and may find it amusing to "feed the fish" so to speak....I had this problem once.

lol no i live with my family and i really hope my dad hasnt started to drink.. but usully he stays away from my tnak, ive been looking everywehre in my tank for any more but there doesnt seem to be anything else it may have jsut gotten in there on accident but im thinknig its something more that that
