okay looking into my tank, i saw something white on the ppowerheads. It looks like fluff.
any idea what it is? is i caused by adding the salt?

Could be old food with a nice coating of mold or whatever happens when food gets old.

there is nothing at all in my tank other than water tho, and i never saw anything like this.

New plastic will often develop white, flaky covering in water.. are the power heads new?

they were out of water a few weeks.

no, thought it would be best to try know what it is before i do, but as it goes on its wn ill leave it.

yes, everything was cleaned before it went in.
i have noticed it is on the plastic parts on the heater. this never happened before. is it just because there is salt in the water?
how long does it usually take to go away?
