What is this strange looking creature?

My mum keeps telling me about this strange looking white/cream coloured shrimp type creature in her tank, but she only sees it once every couple of weeks. Thing is, she never put it in there! It only started appearing after she added three Blue Dream shrimp. Can anyone shed some light as to what this thing is? Thank you.

It's a damselfly nymph. They are carnivorous so the shrimps are at risk. Remove it, and any other you may see.

Yep, like Essjay said it's a nymph. They're kind of cute in my opinion, but I definitely wouldn't want them in my tank.

No, I don’t think she has, but being a huge tank, that could explain why it’s taken a while to show itself and why she rarely sees it. I bleach dip all of my plants before adding them to my aquariums and have told her time and time again to do the same, but she doesn’t. I guess that would explain it!

Definitely remove it. Also keep an eye out for more and remove them as soon as you see them.
