What Is This Strange Curly Hair Like Algae?

Hey, I've had my 30l planted nano set up for about 3 months and recently there has been a strange curly hair like algae growing on most my plants.
Does anyone know what it is and how it is caused?

iv got the same type of algae starting to come into my tank. i thought it was BBA but i could be wrong. (im no good at identifying algaes)

It does look a lot like black hair algea, could also be filiment algea.

The possible matches on The Planted Tank - Algae identification list seem to point to low nutrient / low co2....which do you think you might have if any?

Agree with kyleb and excel will work to rid but you need to find the source aswell... as SO19 has mentioned, it's due to low co2 levels or bad water circulation or both lol. Unless this is sorted it will just keep coming back.

I think the issue may be the co2 due to my current setup being DIY

Yes its not black beard algae ;p one big thing that can help is to also manually remove as much as possible, and get a nerite!
