My bn pleco can’t handle anymore than just a tinge of salt.I would try salt as ColinT prescribes. But I have in a past life knocked things like that out with formalin, you would need to check dosage rates. I think about a 30 second bath in a weak solution.
There's no confusion... Rewatch the original video. There aren't "tentacles", but strange appendages that stretch out.I think there's a confusion with its large and numerous barbels as video is rather blurred.
So please @JamieTYV is there any kind of tentacles on your fish ?
That's what I've always been told : never salted bath for scaleless fishes. My bn pleco can’t handle anymore than just a tinge of salt.
The term "tentacles" was being used very loosely. Not "tentacles" like an octopus. They're just weird... Things.Let's wait for @JamieTYV answer.

I’ve done it before in half doses with my cories but when I tried with my pleco, he went nuts! I could tell it was hurting him so I had to drain a 55G tank down about 80%. Poor guy. That's what I've always been told : never salted bath for scaleless fishes.
