what is the best way to keep tiger barbs

Hi i have a 14 gallon tank I have

1 gorumi
5 x-ray tetras
6 neon tetras
1 plec
1 red tipped shark

1:Do you need to keep them in a schol ?

2:Do that attck other fish?

please give me some more info too. like food and hiding places

1. YES, they need to be kept in a shoal, preferably 6 or more. If not they will constantly harass other fish and possiably stress them out to the point of death.

2. Tiger barbs are notorious fin nippers. They will most likely nip the fins of your goruami.

You feed them like you would any other fish, and as for hiding spots. Just plants ect. E.G. not a bare tank.

Your tank is too small to keep a shoal of these fish. You are already over stocked.

The pleco if it is a common will grow to 24 inches and are huge waste producers.
 
I'd not suggest putting them in that tank because:

too many other tempting fish
too small for a shoal (perhaps too many fish already)

I'd get a bigger tank if you really want them. I'd also get rid of that plec soon, too.

Have you considered adding bottom-dwelling fish like cories?

Seeing as how you have a sole tiger barb, you've probably noticed some fin nipping. I'd suggest giving it back or giving the other fish away and getting more tiger barbs. It's up to you, though.
