the best way I had found, was a pleco... but then my Bichir ate him... I'm kind of afraid the magnetic scrapers that have the "velcro" like surface, would be hard on the acrylic over time... I even considered buying a monster pleco, too big for the bichir to eat... maybe dissecting a normal magnetic scraper & putting a thin layer of sponge material on it??? maybe a felt pad would stick to the "velcro" material they normally put on the magnetic scrapers

Any pad or sponges will scratch and de-polish the surface.

Edit: Even a pleco will scratch too.
