Last night before I went home, I gave Lucky a water change.
I came in this morning and noticed his water looked cloudy - but when I looked closer, I can see some weird whitish stuff on the inside of his tank - and you can see wipe marks in it where I wiped the kind of filmy buildup off around the top ledge of the tank.

I've never seen this before - it just appeared overnight. He looks and acts perfectly healthy. Is this probably bacteria growing in there?

I have been intending to go out and get him and Six a divided Minibow and was actually going to go out at lunch today and get it for them and get it set up this afternoon before I go home. Should I hold off? Or would it be a good idea to just go get it and get him out of that tank?

If he were to stay in the tank - do I need to clean it out with hot water and salt? or what?
UUGH

water conditioner residue? i know that if i put in a little more than recommended it usually leaves a film..

Hey Bettamomma, Sorry to butt in but I also noticed somehting weird in my betta tanks. Its on the plants and caves. If you look very carefully it looks like very tiny white mushrooms, very very tiny. What can it be, I tried to get a pic but the camera wont pick it up, its so tiny.

I guess I did put in a little more stress coat than required, but I always do on the count of his tail trying to grow. The water looks pretty cloudy now, too.
This stuff is just teeny tiny white particles all over the inside wall.

I wonder if this stuff would come along with him into a new tank....

Anyone else have suggestions?
The only time I ever saw this was when Amos was really sick and had a bad bacterial infection - crap started to grow all over in his tank.

I am going to pick up another tank anyway, even if I don't set it up today...

Anyone? at all? I need to take off pretty soon to get that tank.
I might just take Lucky home with me for the weekend so I can keep an eye on him.
UUGH!

Buy him a new bowl.

Yeah, I think i will, but do you think it's a good idea to put him in the same tank (divided, of course) with another fish right now?
