What is my loach??

Hi, i am trying to work out what my loach is??

He is white with very thin black stripes, i got him from a shop and forgot the name, i cant upload images onto the web from my PC otherwise i would put on a image of him.

He was half the size of my Clown Loaches when i got him, and within 3 weeks he has doubled in size, he never stops moving and although i never overfeed he looks fat sometimes, i really cant work him out!!!

Light with thin black black stripes, (I'm assuming vertical striping), could easily be a young Botia lecontei, there are a lot of them around at the moment.

I was gonna say Botia striata (sp?).

They've got basically the same markings as the ones you mentioned.

Why don't you upload a picture into Member's Aquarium and Fish Pictures.

So we can see it. Just save the file as a .jpg and then upload it into there.

Unfortunatley my work will not allow me to upload, but will use someone elses pc over xmas and get a piccy on there!

Common name: striped loach/ zebra loach/ Thin line loach
Do they look like this.

Not sure about the Tail and fins though, i have forgotten what mine looks like, thats what work does to me!!!

Definatley the stripy loach, mine is very bright white though, almost like he is glowing sometimes, do you think this might be the fact he is quite young? will he grow big? are there any special requirements? is he suited for my tank?

How big is your tank in UK gallons?

No they don't need any special requirements.

Bout 3 inches.

How big is it?

Bright white like this?

Currently got

1 Bristlenose catfish
2 Clown Loaches
2 Angel Fish
1 male Betta
1Red Tailed Shark
1 Bala Shark
1 Stripy Loach!

he is about 1 1/2"

Thats ok glad I could help.

Another tip, but you've probably already got it is lots of hiding places. You should have some for the clowns and the botias will swim with the clowns and they may click.
