What Is My Fish?

ive had a pair of these for about a year now, with no info at all about them...

they thrive in my community tank
were tagged up as "Iranian Phantom face gobies", but good luck finding something about them lol

i think its well and truly a rare find lol, ive searched high and low for it, but i cant get any info at all.
 
i've never seen a fish such as that before. i would say its a goby too. but arent gobies brackish?

not all, in fact there are hundreds (if not thousands) of freshwater fish in the family gobiidae
that are true freshwater fish
 
htw, i think you may have it there, if not its a VERY close relative, people if you type it into google its the first link that comes up, what do you think?? the male i have has a very large drapy dorsal fin.

It's one of the biggest families. They feature in fresh, brackish and full marine. They're great.
